We traveled to California mostly for a wedding, but we managed to do a little bird chasing while we were there.

When we lived in CA, I never really took advantage of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands, perhaps because they were so close to home I didn’t think much of them. Now I find out that quite a few photographers head here on the weekends to look for birds.

It’s still a work in progress (as far as getting clear, focused photos of birds in flight, particularly after they’ve caught a large fish), but we had fun trying.

We also visited the Santa Monica for sunset. The sunset wasn’t so great, but we did the best we could.
